Processor versus payment method
A payment processor is the service moving the money; a payment method is what the customer chooses, such as a card, wallet, or local bank option. ThriveCart sits above the processor as the checkout and selling layer.
That distinction matters because a checkout may advertise many payment methods, but the methods shown to a specific buyer depend on the connected processor and eligibility.
Stripe Connect+
ThriveCart's current support documentation says Stripe Connect+ supports more than 100 payment methods, including wallets and regional payment methods where available. It also supports modern authentication controls that are important for international card acceptance.
For most new card-based implementations, this is the processor connection ThriveCart is actively developing.
PayPal and Authorize.net
PayPal Enhanced is also an actively developed integration. Authorize.net remains available for specific U.S., Canada, and Australia use cases, but ThriveCart describes it as maintenance-mode and notes limitations for EU transactions.
If processor redundancy matters to your business, document which products and currencies work through each connection before launch.
Test by market, device, and billing type
A one-time U.S. card purchase does not prove a recurring European purchase or a mobile-wallet checkout will behave the same way. Test the combinations that represent real customers, including refunds and recurring rebills where relevant.
